Location, Costumes and Props

This is the information about my photoshoots with information about the locations, the costumes being worn and the props being used.

Location

I took photos at two different locations.
The first photoshoot that I did was in a profession studio. This meant I could use professionally looking lighting and use a green screen as a background which would later provide being helpful as it is one solid colour to cut out on the images. I used one image from this photoshoot which I then edited to go onto the contents page as a poster cut out.
The second photoshoot location which I used was a church and graveyard. I used this as my location as it provided a good setting with the church and the graves in the background. This helped to go along with the main article story. I used natural lighting and the flash from the camera which made the image look rather natural. The images looked good because of location I used, it give the images something else to look at in them as well as the model.

Costumes

For the photoshoots I used two different models. One of the models was for a small image on the contents page and the other model was for the front cover image, the main contents page image and the double page spread image.
The first model was wearing a black vest top and black leggings to go with the rock and metal feel of the magazine. The model wore black clothing as black is the colour which is most associated with rock and metal music. The model also had half pink and half blue hair which helped with the feel of the rock side of the magazine.
The second model was wearing a black top with a leopard print cardigan over it, with blue jeans. The black top and the leopard print cardigan helped with the feel of the rock element of the magazine. This model had pink and purple hair which also helped with the rock element.

Props

There was hardly any props used in the images. In a couple of images in the studio photoshoot, the model was sat on a chair, however the chair was sometimes not visible in the images. Another prop which was used in the studio photoshoot is a piece of card with the word "POW!" in a comic book feel for the model to hold. An image of this was used in the small contents page image. There were no props used in the second photoshoot as I did not need any props due to the photoshoots location.
